Prairie Song bees work from early spring until the first frosts of fall. The primary floral sources for our honey are alfalfa and sweet clover. Each hive produces up to 80 pounds of honey in a season. Our honey is strained (but not filtered). The creamed honey we offer for sale is simply 100% pure honey that has been crystallized under controlled conditions. This produces easily-spread honey with a fine-grained texture.
There is no Iowa sales tax on honey. A $2.00 handling charge and actual UPS charges along with the cost of the goods will be invoiced once shipment has been made.
